What Is the Sanctum?

The Architect's Sanctum is a series of ancient vaults sealed since before the colony arrived. Each wing contains several combat rooms, optional bonus rooms, and a powerful boss. Clearing a wing requires fighting through every combat room — retreating early means you keep whatever you collected on the way.

Kill Count & Points

Each room you clear earns points. Optional rooms — skill gates and resource caches — award bonus points if you complete their challenge. The more points you earn in a run, the better your odds of receiving the wing's unique weapon drop when you defeat the boss.

Unique Drops

Every wing boss has a unique weapon that cannot be found anywhere else. The drop is not guaranteed — you must defeat the boss and then pass a luck roll. Your odds improve with your points total for that run, and Hard Mode doubles your chances. Keep track of your dry streak in the wing entry screen.

Optional Rooms

Skill gate rooms reward bonus points if your relevant lifeskill is high enough. Cache rooms let you spend materials for extra points. You can always skip optional rooms at no penalty — but the bonus points improve your unique drop odds.

Hard Mode

After clearing a wing on Normal, Hard Mode unlocks. Enemies hit harder and have more health, but you earn more points per room and your unique drop odds double. Hard Mode is the fastest way to farm a specific unique weapon once you're strong enough.

Retreating

You can retreat at any time from the run screen. You keep all rewards collected so far — scrap, materials, and XP earned in completed rooms. You lose nothing except the run itself. Defeat in a combat room also ends the run but keeps your loot.
