Hunter Contracts

Take kill contracts from Hunter Masters in nomad camps for Hunt Marks and bonus XP.

How It Works

Each zone has a Hunter Master in its nomad camp. Visit the camp and open the Hunts tab to take a contract — a target monster and a kill goal. Kills count automatically whether you fight in idle combat, AFK, or while offline. Contracts auto-claim the moment you finish them; no turn-in step.

Contract Types

Standard contracts use the zone's regular monsters and have larger kill counts. Elite contracts roll a small kill count against either an elite encounter or a rare uber-class monster — the type is a surprise. Boss contracts ask for a single boss kill once per day.

Hunt Marks

Every kill on contract pays Hunt Marks (HM). Boss and uber kills pay the most per kill, then elite, then standard. Completion bonuses stack on top. Spend HM at the Hunter Master to extend contracts or buy upgrades.

Uber Targets

Uber-class monsters are rare wilderness ambushes — they don't appear in idle combat. Find them by exploring tiles in the contract's zone. Pyrecraft kindling smoke and spawn-rate boosts increase your odds.

Milestones

Hunter level grants persistent perks: an extra contract slot at higher levels, double-kill chance, auto-extend on completion, and the Hunter's Cortex implant capstone at the highest tier.

Mastery

Kills on a target also fill its Xenopedia mastery — long-term tracking that grants permanent drop and HM bonuses against that specific monster. Hunting the same target repeatedly compounds.
