How to Get Them
Scrap crates drop from wilderness combat and idle AFK combat while you are connected. They do not drop during offline simulation when you are away. Tougher and rarer enemies drop them more often.
Three Tiers
Battered crates drop from common and uncommon enemies. Reinforced crates come from rare and elite encounters. Signal-Locked crates are ultra-rare drops from elite and uber enemies. Higher-tier crates contain better possible rolls and access to rarer loot tables.
Opening
Navigate to your Inventory and tap "Open" on a crate. You roll a d20 die. Higher rolls yield better results. Possible contents include tier equipment, crafting materials, and scrap. Rolling a natural 20 grants a random named trophy from the boss loot pool. The only way to get a boss trophy without fighting the boss yourself.
