Shards
Consumable crystals that grant temporary percentage bonuses.
What They Are
Shards are crystallized resonance energy native to Khael-Vorath. Breaking a shard grants a temporary percentage bonus that lasts for a set number of battles. Higher tier shards give stronger bonuses and last longer.
Types
Five shard types exist, each boosting a different aspect of gameplay: Echo Shards increase experience gain, Gilt Shards boost scrap income, Vein Shards improve material drop rates, Signal Shards increase equipment drop chances, and Hunter Shards raise the odds of encountering elite monsters.
Fusion
Combine 2 shards of the same type and tier to fuse them into a higher tier shard. Higher tiers provide stronger bonuses and last for more battles. Fusion can fail — the input shards are consumed regardless. Failure chance increases at higher tiers.
Tip
Break a Vein or Signal shard before a long grinding session to maximize drops. Stack an Echo shard on top for efficient leveling. Hunter shards are rare but extremely valuable for farming elite encounters.
