Item Rarity
Understanding equipment rarity tiers and where to find the best gear.
Rarity Tiers
Equipment comes in five rarity tiers: Common (grey), Uncommon (green), Rare (blue), Epic (purple), and Legendary (orange). Color coding is visible on item cards — learn to recognize them at a glance.
Stat Scaling
Higher rarity items have better base stats and may carry additional bonus properties not found on lower tiers. A rare weapon might have two bonus affixes where a common has none. Rarity is not everything — a well-enhanced uncommon can outperform an unenhanced epic — but it sets the ceiling.
Sources
Common and Uncommon items drop from most monsters. Rare items drop from rare+ monsters and are sold at merchants (at 4x markup). Epic items drop from elite and boss monsters, and from high-tier crates. Legendary items are boss-exclusive — defeat zone bosses for a 5% chance per legendary in their loot table, or roll a natural 20 on a scrap crate.
