What Happens on Death
Dying on Khael-Vorath carries a heavy cost. When your HP hits zero you lose:
- Most of the scrap in your pockets
- A percentage of your current XP
- Crafting materials (more at higher levels)
- Crafting materials (unlocks at level 20, scales with level)
- Your entire kill streak. All momentum gone
- All active consumable buffs
Your equipped gear and inventory items are never lost. The planet takes its cut, but does not strip you bare.
The Vault
Visit Korr the Vault Keeper in the settlement to bank your scrap before heading into the Wilderness. Banked scrap is completely safe from death penalties. Only scrap in your pockets is at risk. Smart survivors deposit before every expedition.
Healing & Revival
When your HP hits zero, a death screen appears showing exactly what you lost. Tap the stabilise button to revive at full HP and continue from your current position. The revival itself costs nothing. The losses already happened the moment you fell.
Revival Beacon
A consumable failsafe device purchased from Mavi in the Wreck for Hunt Marks. Use it from your inventory to arm the effect. When you would die, the beacon activates automatically — reviving you at 50% HP mid-fight so combat continues. Consumed on trigger. Only one can be active at a time.
Prevention
Keep your HP topped off between fights using healing consumables from Synthesis lifeskills. Avoid engaging enemies significantly above your level. Check their rarity before committing to a fight. Retreat is not cowardice. It is survival arithmetic.
