Exploration
The Conduit
A towering alien structure with branching paths, rest floors, and escalating rewards.
What It Is
The Conduit is a colossal vertical structure descending deep into Khael-Vorath's crust. Each floor is populated by creatures more dangerous than the last. It is the ultimate test of your build, gear, and tactical judgment.
Attempts
You get 3 attempts per day (upgradeable to 4). Attempts reset daily. Permanent upgrades can let you start at floor 5 or 10, purchased with Conduit Essences.
Floor Types
The Conduit has three floor types. Combat floors pit you against enemies. Choice floors (every 5 floors) let you pick between a safe path, a hard path with tougher enemies and better rewards, or a gamble path with a random blessing or curse. Rest floors (floors 9, 19, 29...) appear before each boss, letting you heal, swap equipment, and purchase temporary essence buffs.
Run Modifiers
Before each run, choose a mutator to alter the experience. Standard has no changes. Fractured Signal makes enemies hit harder but doubles scrap. Deep Resonance buffs boss HP but drops compounds every floor. Architect's Trial disables healing and retreat but doubles milestone rewards and gives 1.5x XP.
Conduit Essences & Upgrades
Conduit Essences drop from tower bosses. Spend them on temporary buffs at rest floors (stat boosts lasting several floors) or on permanent upgrades like extra daily attempts and floor skip privileges.
Rewards
Every floor yields scrap and XP. Materials drop every 5 floors (or every floor on Deep Resonance). Milestone legendaries at floors 25, 50, 75, and 100. Boss floors award Conduit Essences.
Strategy
Push as deep as your build allows, but retreat before dying — death in the Conduit carries the same penalties as death in The Wastes. Hard paths are worth it if you can handle +30% enemy stats for +50% rewards. Save essences for buffs before tough boss floors.
