PRIVACY POLICY

1. OVERVIEW

Signal Decay ("the Game") is developed and operated by Signal Decay ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We collect the minimum data necessary to run the game. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads.

2. DATA WE COLLECT

Account Data

When you create an account, we collect your email address, a username you choose, and a display name. This data is used for authentication, identifying your account, and displaying your name in-game.

Game Save Data

Your character data, inventory, progression, settings, and gameplay state are stored locally on your device. If you sign in, this data is synced to our cloud servers so you can access it across devices.

Chat Messages

Messages sent in global and corporation chat channels are stored on our servers. These are visible to other players and may be moderated.

Leaderboard Data

If you are signed in, your character name, level, class, and corporation affiliation may appear on public leaderboards.

3. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

• We do not collect your real name, phone number, or physical address.
• We do not collect payment information (there are no in-app purchases).
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not run advertisements or share data with ad networks.

4. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

• Authenticate your account and restore your game progress.
• Sync game saves across devices.
• Display your username on leaderboards and in chat.
• Moderate chat and enforce community guidelines.
• Enforce bans and account restrictions when necessary.

5. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Account and cloud save data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). Data is encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with secure password hashing. We do not store your password in plain text.

6. DATA RETENTION

Your account and game data are retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, game saves, chat messages, leaderboard entries) will be permanently removed within 30 days.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Update your display name or other profile information in-game.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Signal Decay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services to operate the game:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and cloud storage.
• Expo / EAS — app building and distribution.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance.
